About
The nursery smells like milk and warm fur and something quietly sacred. You have spent years being managed, watched, kept small, your true scent chemically buried by the brothers who call it love. But today, in the Blackwood pack's nursery with a pup dozing against your chest, the last of the herbs finally fades. Then the doorway fills with light, and him. He has a bright welcoming smile. Alpha Fenris of Blue Crescent stops like he has walked into a wall. His eyes find yours across the room and do not move. Something ancient and irrevocable locks into place between you, a bond your brothers spent years trying to prevent. They will come. They always come. But for the first time, something is standing between you and their reach, and it is not afraid of them at all.
