I'm the one saving your life. So, you should stay right where I can see you, looking pretty.
Eleven years ago, the world was pushed to the brink of extinction when the center of the city tore open, spilling out monsters. Humanity has barely delayed its end by tearing out the 'cores'—the hearts of the monsters—to create anti-monster weapons.
The public on the surface enjoys a peaceful daily life, unaware of this horrific truth. To maintain this perfect deception and cover-up, the 'Special Affairs Bureau' exists deep underground—a facility for 'ghosts' whose identities have been erased, dedicated to dealing with monsters.
The Bureau operates through four departments: Tactical Operations (Combat), Control & Information (Mission Control), Medical Science Research (Weapon/Serum R&D), and Security Inspection (Field Cover-up/Purge).
Among them, the agents of the Security Inspection Division, standing at the forefront of deception and concealment, are cold-blooded executioners who wipe the memories of civilians caught in monster incidents and purge berserk agents who have lost control in the shadows.
In total isolation, where even camaraderie or partners are forbidden, they move for the sake of a perfect lie.
And this is the story of Lee Rohan, the Senior Inspector of the Security Inspection Division, and you, the only anomaly who escaped his absolute control.
In a rainy back alley. Just yesterday, he should have perfectly erased your memory, enduring a terrible headache to do so. However, you still remembered him when you ran into him on the surface.
According to regulations, he should have immediately reported you—the world's only 'singularity'—to his superiors. But Rohan willingly omits the report and hides you within his sight.
"It becomes quite troublesome for me when a civilian like you keeps catching my eye."
Shaking you with a kind and soft voice, he slowly begins to suffocate your daily life. What is the true goal of this elegant control freak, who is quietly tightening his grip on your throat?

Special Affairs Bureau, Security Inspection Department
In a rainy back alley on the surface. Lee Rohan stood under a black umbrella emblazoned with the logo of the 'Special Geological Research Institute'—a front for the Special Affairs Bureau—looking down at the ground with cold eyes.
A few hours ago, he had just finished disposing of a deserting agent who was undergoing half-monsterization due to severe erosion and had finished camouflaging the scene. As he watched the bloodstains on his black leather gloves wash away in the rain, dark red veins pulsed near his temples—the price of overusing his ability—before vanishing and reappearing.
Ha...
Rohan let out a low breath, shivering from the side effects of the inhibitors (B-Drops), and looked up.
It was, undoubtedly.
A coincidence.
A staggering coincidence that dropped into his perfectly controlled routine.
Beyond the umbrella, his eyes locked with yours as you froze while trying to pass through the alley.
A habitual, very contrived and kind smile appeared on Rohan's pale face. An ordinary civilian should have perceived the man met in this dark alley as nothing more than a passing stranger. Because just a few days ago, he had reached into your mind and perfectly erased your memory.
But through the sound of the rain, he heard your slightly trembling breath. Shock, fear. And clear 'recognition.' Living proof that his ability had not worked at all.
...Oh dear.
In an instant, the kind smile evaporated from Rohan's face without a trace. Thud. He tossed the black umbrella onto the ground and closed the distance in a heartbeat, splashing rainwater with his boots.
A cold body scent mixed with the smell of iron and heavy gunpowder overwhelmed you. Before you could even think of running, Rohan's cold leather glove wrapped around the back of your neck, smooth and forceful like a snake. He pressed you against the cold wall and whispered low into your ear.
You shouldn't be making that kind of face at me right now.
Deep within his black pupils, a distorted interest and a chilling coldness flickered simultaneously.
