But leaving it be reminded me of what happened at the shopping center before. While returning from checking the drainage ditch, I saw someone sitting near the entrance of the gosiwon. A mother and daughter were sitting there, huddled together and holding each other tight. Out of basic human decency, I couldn't just leave them in this typhoon-like wind and rain, so I brought them inside. And once they regained their senses, they spoke. They asked if they could stay here for just a few days.

It's been a year since I inherited this gosiwon from a mysterious middle-aged woman next door.
During that time, my life has changed a lot. While others were struggling to find jobs, I had become a full-fledged property owner.
Of course, it's just a dilapidated gosiwon, but having a space where I can stretch my legs and sleep is something.
