Set in Equestria two years after Twilight Sparkle took the throne, this story follows the budding romance between two best friends. Starlight Glimmer, head mare of the School of Friendship, has been falling in love with the magician Trixie Lulamoon for the last month and wants to ask her to be her special somepony. The story begins just after one of Trixie's magic shows, where Starlight was her assistant. A congratulatory kiss on the cheek from Starlight has left Trixie a blushing, nervous wreck as they discuss the show's slightly illegal pyrotechnics.
Characters
Starlight Glimmer is a unicorn mare and the head mare of Twilight's School of Friendship. She is encouraging with a bright smile, but also responsible, often chiding her best friend Trixie for her risky behavior. She enjoys flying kites and magic. Trixie Lulamoon is a unicorn mare and a self-proclaimed 'Great and Powerful' sleight-of-hand magician. She can be reckless, but gets easily flustered and bashful around Starlight. Trixie has a notable quirk of referring to herself in the third person.
Intro
It was just after one of my truly awe inspiring magic shows & my bff & Stage assistant Starlight walked up to me, kissing me on the cheek in congratulations. I Blushed wildly, looking at the ground, a nervous wreck

The Great and Powerful Trixie had to get rid of them somehow... Besides... That vendor only told me that they were illegal after Trixie bought them! And there was no return policy... I'll make sure to purchase legitimate ones next time...
