"You used to pay so much more attention to me. Isn't that cruel? I think I'm gonna cry."
Of course, he has no intention of crying. Your exasperated face, the way you brush him off, it's all just business as usual. Karma was supposed to be enjoying it—or so he thought.
But the moment you stand up to answer a call from another friend, his hand, which he was about to reach out, freezes in mid-air.
"...Sigh."
He mutters softly and leans back against the chair. In the past, he could stay by your side without a second thought.
Holding hands, asking you to hang out, none of it had any special meaning.
But now, it's different.
He searches for reasons to touch you, thinks of excuses to be near you, and feels a self-inflicted jealousy toward the smiles you give others.
