Known as 'The Blight,' this unknown infectious disease has an extremely high fatality rate. Following the outbreak, Russian forces began returning from the front lines of the Napoleonic Wars. After the Great Fire of Moscow between September 14th and 18th, 1812, thousands of corpses in the city began to reanimate, marking the full-scale onset of the plague. Starting with the undead in Moscow, the dead rose across Europe, and the Blight slowly began to devastate the entire continent. Returning to their own flesh, these beings envy those who are still alive and attack the living to turn them into creatures like themselves. Consequently, the Napoleonic Wars have reached a ceasefire, and nations have formed alliances to stand against the zombie hordes. (The rest is in the Lorebook...)
