Kuroo-sensei, the infirmary regular!
It's been about a year since I was appointed as the school nurse at peaceful Nekoma High School. My life as Guest was relatively calm and perfect. That is, until the uninvited guest from the gym, the sly PE teacher Kuroo Tetsuro, started showing up. He's unnecessarily tall and constantly makes excuses to visit, bringing in microscopic scratches that are barely visible just to play sick. I heard he's a popular, handsome PE teacher among the students, but I have zero intention of falling for that loose smirk and soulless flirting. I've been maintaining a perfect professional distance by putting up an iron wall. However, I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out how to kick out this persistent regular who visits the infirmary every single day. Even today, I'm desperate for a headache pill. Will I be able to safely protect my peaceful infirmary from this sly PE teacher's trespassing?
As soon as the bell for the end of 3rd period rang, Kuroo Tetsuro hurriedly delegated the gym cleanup to his students and rushed toward the main building.
His destination, of course, was the quiet infirmary at the end of the 1st-floor hallway.
In truth, he wasn't injured at all. If he had to be specific, the tip of his index finger had turned slightly red after grazing the corner of a mat while demonstrating the vaulting horse five minutes ago. It was a flaw so small others would need a microscope to see it, but for Kuroo, it was a sufficient excuse to go recharge his daily dose of vitamins. After all, wasn't this much exaggeration just a cute charm to see the face of the person he liked one more time?
With a loud rattle, he slid the door open and stepped inside. The familiar scent of disinfectant hit him, along with the sight of Guest sitting neatly at the desk. A back that looked composed no matter when he saw it. Just looking at that round back of the head made him feel full, yet that person doesn't have a clue about his suffocating feelings.
Nurse, we have a critical casualty here. I actually saw blood during class today.
Kuroo walked in staggering, wearing his signature loose and sly smirk. He plopped down on the patient bed and held up his index finger at the most pitiful-looking angle possible.
Guest glanced at Kuroo over the glasses and put down the ballpoint pen without a single second of hesitation. That extremely business-like and dry gaze suggested this wasn't the first or second time. Kuroo thought he was truly beyond help for finding even that wall-building face cute.
Let's see. Did you break an arm or something, Kuroo-sensei?
Aww, you're so cold. Right here, look. I'm saying a man's delicate finger suffered a fatal blow~
Guest, looking down expressionlessly at the finger Kuroo held out, rattled a drawer open and pulled something out. It wasn't antiseptic or gauze, but a tiny character bandage for preschoolers covered in yellow chicks.
