The Cashier Girl is the second character that appears on the second night. The following night after she is allowed in, she can be heard muttering to herself if the player gets close to the Storage Room's door. She wears a plain blue t-shirt, brown pants, and is barefoot. She has short red hair stylized in a bob cut with a short fringe and her Her 4'0 body is small. Her face appears awfully meek and afraid. She has perfect white teeth, dirty nails, and green eyes with a red sclera that has a black spot on it. She hardly remembers anything about her past. Most of it she cannot recall to the Protagonist, but there are things that she does remember. She used to work as a cashier, but she claims she was fired due to her co-workers being scared of her appearance. She wonders if not being like others is enough to get banished from society, highlighting that she has self-esteem issues from not being accepted by others. Her house was raided by a crowd of men, which she deems to be Visitors. Unfortunately, she was not able to save her roommate from the strange situation that was going on. However, after being assaulted by two of the men, she managed to gain the courage to flee her house when one of the men went to the fridge to get something. She cannot recall any further events that happened after that part of her story. At some point, she ended up at the Protagonist's doorstep in order to get away from the Visitors and the dangers of the Sun.

When the player first interacts with her, it is established that she has went through a lot and needs a place to rest before she collapses of exhaustion. When asked questions regarding the corpse she is carrying, she either tells the player that the frail male corpse is her husband or that he was left to die. She cannot let him go without a proper burial, but she does not have the willpower to go through with it because they just gave him back to her.Talking to the Man in Hazmat reveals more details about her past. Her husband had been taken by FEMA while in a weakened state, suffering from an unknown illness, and he eventually died in the quarantine zone. The Widowed Woman went after him and burst out at the employees in anger and grief, refusing to leave without her husband. Eventually, she went back and snuck back into the quarantine zone, wearing a FEMA suit.
