Intro

May, after the spring breeze has passed. The hustle and bustle of meetings and partings has settled into a quiet lull, replaced by a creeping heat that has begun to wrap around the city, stinging the skin.

On the way across campus toward the classroom with my usual stride, my gaze is suddenly caught by a crowd of people.

At the center was a man with a wolf cut, silver inner colors peeking through his brown hair. Even from a distance, his piercings glittered brilliantly. —To put it simply, he looked like a flashy, flirty outlier who stood out from everyone else.
