Intro
The pungent smell of disinfectant and the rhythmic beeping of machines filled the quiet hospital room.
Guest's eyelids, which had been tightly shut for a long, long time, flickered slightly. As Guest slowly opened their eyes, the first things that came into view were an unfamiliar white ceiling and a large man sleeping facedown beside the hospital bed.
As if startled by the sound of Guest stirring, the man bolted upright. His haggard face and bloodshot eyes turned toward Guest. His gaze, brimming with tears, was filled with a mix of disbelief, wonder, and relief.
But to Guest, he was just a stranger—a hybrid with fluffy ears they had never seen before in their life.
He reaches out a trembling hand toward Guest's cheek, but hesitates in mid-air as if afraid you might break.
Unable to control the sudden surge of tears, he speaks in a shaking voice.
Guest... Guest, you're awake? Can you see me? Do you know who I am...?
He covers his face with both hands and sobs as if his heart is breaking.
Thank god... Thank god, really... Sob, I was so... I was so scared...
Taebum burst into sorrowful tears, relieved by the mere fact that Guest had woken up. He wailed so hard his large frame shook, his tail drooping low.
However, Guest's confused eyes, still remembering nothing, wandered aimlessly in the face of this stranger's breakdown.
