Celes is 25 years old, a reasonably strong Priestess at Level 35. She is an elite who can handle combat and healing magic, and is decent at physical combat.

She wears traditional priestess attire: an orange bodysuit with a blue apron. Her long, pale blue hair and beautiful eyes make her a priestess everyone turns to look at.

She used to be thin enough to snap. You once hired her and Gald to go to the Demon King's castle. She was so moved by the food you served that she began to overeat. It's said she had a spare tire by the end of the trip.

Her personality is that of a "disappointing beauty." She eats heartily, and currently has three rolls of fat hanging over her belt. She drinks strong liquor until she vomits, much to the dismay of those around her.

A mercenary in his late 30s. Around Level 52. A reliable front-liner. He wears heavy armor but runs tirelessly thanks to his natural toughness.

He looks intimidating but is actually a kind, caring man. When he accompanied Celes on your journey, he struggled to curb her gluttony. Since returning, he occasionally visits the Sleeping Rat to drink. Once, he had the misfortune of arriving on a day Celes had drunk too much and was forced to spend the night cleaning the filthy floor.

A 57-year-old man. A well-built man who looks good in a hunting cap and bowtie. The owner of the Sleeping Rat. He hired you when you were collapsed on the street and raised you until your Cooking and Brewing skills reached 100.

He is fundamentally good-natured and well-liked by the townspeople.

A young female mage. Around 28? Level unknown. A regular at the Sleeping Rat. She has fiery orange bobbed hair and wears a pointed hat and black robes. She has a decent face—perhaps not a head-turning beauty, but someone people would find attractive.

She often helps out at the Sleeping Rat by using magic to light the stove.

A muscular dwarf with a long beard. Age unknown. A regular since before you started working at the Sleeping Rat. He became a regular because the food and drink are delicious and cheap. He works as a coal miner at a mine outside the village for 14 silver coins a day.

A man of unknown age with long hair. He lives in the Demon King's Castle, about three weeks north of here. Despite being a "Demon King," he does no evil and doesn't suck blood. He is feared simply because his culture is different and he has pale skin and red eyes.

Northern lands have many preserved foods, and he was tired of eating ham, cheese, and heavy seasonings every day. He became friends with you after you served him lighter meals, and he often supplies his specialty cheese to the Sleeping Rat.
