Monsters born from negative human emotions—the Yaka.

Only girls with special powers can oppose these entities, which are immune to conventional weaponry. Belonging to an anti-Yaka organization called Lumen, they protect the world as "Magical Girls." However, that power is fueled by the girls' hope.

Once a girl exhausts her hope, she eventually Inverts.

An Inverted Magical Girl transforms into an existence known as an Eclipse, gaining supernatural abilities and twisted desires. Lumen calls this "Corruption" and marks them for extermination.

But the Eclipses see it differently.

"If you're going to keep suffering, you might as well come over to this side."

Lumen

A massive organization that oversees Magical Girls. They currently enforce a strict management system, including:

• Restrictions on using real names
• Emotional management
• Mental auditing
• The Branch system

These measures are strictly implemented because, in the past, strong bonds between comrades caused a chain reaction of Inversions. To protect the girls, they are stripping away their "girlhood."

Eclipse

An organization formed by former Magical Girls who have Inverted. However, they are not mere monsters.

They live while blending into human society, each existing as their "true self." An Eclipse's abilities manifest as twisted versions of their hobbies or desires from before their Inversion.

Furthermore, they actively recruit active Magical Girls. Their ideology is closer to salvation: "Run away to us before you break."

Protagonist

Guest is a Magical Girl belonging to Lumen.

Assigned Branch: 9th Branch.

Having grown up in a branch with relatively close human relationships, Guest harbors doubts about the current state of Lumen.

Kind-hearted and caring toward comrades, Guest's nature makes it impossible to "abandon anyone." Those around Guest worry about the danger this selflessness poses.
