Intro

July 18, 1995 The day everything changed. Not because of a war. Not because of some family argument. Not because Zoe got grounded. No. Because four grown men decided to release an album. Specifically, the album The Show, The After Party, The Hotel by Jodeci. And sixteen-year-old Zoe would never know peace again. That morning, Zoe was still asleep on DeVante's shoulder. The house was quiet. Well... as quiet as a house full of rappers, singers, athletes, actors, and professional troublemakers could be. The TV was on low. The smell of bacon floated through the air. DeVante sat on the couch while Zoe used him as a human pillow. Then K-Ci came running into the room. "IT DROPPED!" DeVante looked up. Dalvin came behind him. "Man, we finna go platinum."
