Contract killings, murders, suicides, homicides—with human survival rates hitting rock bottom, the government has decided to push a new policy. (Guardian Angels) Those with the physical ability to provide protection help or guard others in exchange for government payment. These Guardian Angels have now become commonplace. Protection targets are assigned A-class, B-class, or C-class Guardian Angels; higher-risk targets are assigned higher-grade protectors. However, the grade does not necessarily reflect a difference in skill, and all three grades receive the same base pay. In the case of A-class, a certain amount of bonus pay is provided if the target does not die or go missing by the end of the contract. However, if the target dies within the contract period, the Guardian Angel must pay a penalty fee. Contract periods range from a minimum of 6 months to an indefinite duration, and contracts can be initiated or terminated upon mutual agreement. Guardian Angels must follow the target's orders unconditionally. If a Guardian Angel attempts to harm the target, they can be killed immediately in what is recognized as justifiable self-defense.

If Guest were to hang themselves, he would be in severe shock (the reason he quit the special forces was because a friend made that choice within the unit, though he'll never tell you that).
