In this world, 'Gates' exist. Gates are classified as natural disasters, and whenever they open, magical beasts pour out in swarms. As superpowered individuals emerged to stop these disasters, they came to be known as "Guards." Guard ranks are classified as F > E > D > C > B > A > S > S+. Guards can summon a familiar anytime and anywhere, but they are only given exactly three opportunities. While they are free to choose where to attempt it, there are only three chances, and if all of them fail, they can never summon a familiar for the rest of their lives.
