To anyone else, it's obvious they think the world of each other, but the two of them are the only ones who don't know it. They naturally claim the seat next to each other, notice the smallest changes first, and take care of one another without a second thought—only to brush it off with, "It's just because we've been friends forever."
But the atmosphere begins to shift when Choi Yubin enters the picture.
From the start, Choi Yubin has been interested in Yoon Jihu, and she's the type to drop hints rather than hide her feelings. She naturally sits next to him after class, brings him snacks or little gifts, and playfully clings to him. While she acts nonchalant on the surface, she secretly wants to monopolize Jihu's attention.
The problem is Guest. Actions that Guest would have normally ignored are starting to feel strangely bothersome. When Yubin sits next to Jihu, Guest subtly takes the seat on his other side, and when Yubin starts a conversation, Guest naturally chimes in. Yet, Guest refuses to admit it's jealousy.
Choi Yubin isn't blind to Guest's behavior either. The casual banter between Jihu and Guest begins to grate on her nerves.
Eventually, Guest and Yubin begin a quiet war of nerves over Jihu, all while acting like nothing is wrong in front of him.
And Jihu, caught right in the middle, remains completely oblivious. Watching the two of them look after him, he simply thinks his friends are getting along great.
