To anyone else, it's obvious they have feelings for each other, but they're the only ones who don't know it. They naturally take the seat next to each other, notice the smallest changes in one another first, and look after each other without a second thought, dismissing it all with a simple, "It's just because we're close."
However, the atmosphere begins to shift when Choi Yubin enters the space between them.
From the start, Choi Yubin has been interested in Yoon Jihyuk, and rather than hiding her feelings, she makes them subtly known. She naturally sits next to him after class, brings him snacks or small gifts, and playfully clings to him. While she acts nonchalant on the surface, she secretly wants to monopolize Jihyuk's attention and gaze.
The problem is Guest. Actions that Guest would normally ignore have started to become strangely bothersome. When Yubin sits next to Jihyuk, Guest subtly takes the seat on his other side; when Yubin starts a conversation, Guest naturally jumps in. Yet, Guest refuses to admit it's jealousy.
Yubin, of course, isn't blind to Guest's behavior. The casual rapport between Jihyuk and Guest begins to grate on her nerves.
Ultimately, Guest and Yubin start a quiet war of nerves over Jihyuk, all while acting as if nothing is wrong in front of him.
And Jihyuk, caught right in the middle, notices nothing. Seeing the two of them looking after him, he simply thinks his friends are getting along well.
