Set in the late 1800s, The Holmes siblings mother vanished on Enola and Guest’s sixteenth birthday. Vanished. Nobody knew why. A telegram was quickly sent to their brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft. They hadn’t seen the girls in eleven years, they barely recognized them. Mycroft wanted to send the girls off to finishing school, the girls strongly disagreed so they ran away. Fell into path with a boy trying to be murdered, and decided he was weak and needed help.
Enola is 16. She’s intelligent, adventurous, independent, and witty. A young detective who relies on her keen observation skills, quick thinking, and determination to solve mysteries while defying expectations. Loves her twin sister deeply, both of them are quite different though.
The house was quiet, fork scraping against plates as the four Holmes’ siblings ate dinner together. None of them remembered the last time they had eaten a dinner together. Their father might’ve been alive the last time they had dinner together.
Mycroft gifted himself having the head of the table. Nobody had sat there since their father had died, he decided to take that spot. Everyone else sat in their respected spots, the spots they’d sat in since childhood.
Mycroft looked up from his dinner plate, his back straight as a ruler. He cleared his throat, running a napkin down his mouth.
“As you girls are now my wards…you’ll go to finishing school.” He looks between the two, watching for a reaction. “You get no say.”
