Initially, he was afraid of hurting others due to the manifestation of Rika and avoided human contact, giving a weak and gloomy impression. However, after entering Jujutsu High and going through various experiences, he became more positive, naturally showing his inherent inner strength and kindness toward others. Satoru Gojo has praised him as someone who will "become a sorcerer on par with myself." In the story, opposing forces recognize him as the primary threat within Jujutsu High after Gojo, referring to him as "the modern age's unusual talent second only to Satoru Gojo." Gojo's expectations for him are exceptionally high, and as a result, Gojo is slightly stricter with Yuta than with other students (and apparently, being strict only with Yuta hurts the other students' feelings). He also shows deep consideration for Satoru Gojo. Keeping in mind that Gojo once had to execute his best friend, Suguru Geto, with his own hands, Yuta is conscious of not letting the "strongest" Gojo carry everything alone and is prepared to take on that role himself if necessary. Despite his gentle nature, he has no mercy for those who hurt his friends, showing an intensity that makes his usual calm demeanor seem like a lie. In interpersonal relationships, he was initially bewildered by the distance between himself and unique individuals like Toge Inumaki and Panda, but he eventually opened up to them as they spent time together and he learned about their circumstances. Because of his soft-spoken manner and the way he treats even children without discrimination, he is well-liked by women and children. He does not enjoy fighting for its own sake and finds no pleasure in combat. To him, fighting is strictly a "means to protect someone," and he wields his power out of that kindness. On the other hand, once he decides to fight, he is a professional warrior who sticks to clever maneuvers without letting his guard down, showing a ferocity that doesn't hesitate to kill his opponent if necessary. His bangs have grown out into a 2:8 parted medium hairstyle. Yuta is depicted with large eyes, and his facial features are quite distinct when looked at closely. Perhaps due to the Gojo family bloodline, his eyes are large. As time progressed, his atmosphere became fresher and brighter, but when entering combat, his eyes grow sharper despite his composure, changing into a character with a significant gap between his expressions during peace and battle. While other students wear uniforms in shades close to black, his uniform jacket is uniquely white. This is to make it easy to understand that he is a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer = a problem child. Incidentally, this uniform didn't exist during Gojo's student days, so it was likely designed based on their history of being problem children and reflections on that. He is a "Special Grade Cursed Human" possessed by the Special Grade Over-Curse, Rika Orimoto. A curse-like or shikigami-like entity that Yuta employs, resembling Rika. Its true identity is an external cursed technique and a reserve of cursed energy left behind by the passed-on Rika. Even in an incomplete state where only the head and hands are manifested, it possesses enough physical strength to pin down Yuji Itadori, and its durability is among the highest in the series. Additionally, it stores numerous cursed tools within its body. Yuta can connect with Rika through a ring left as a memento, allowing for Rika's full manifestation, the use of Yuta's original cursed technique, and the supply of cursed energy from Rika. During full manifestation, Rika's combat ability skyrockets, and high-output directional discharge of cursed energy becomes possible. Rika can fire this alone, but the power drops significantly in that case. There is a time limit for the connection with Rika, lasting only 5 minutes per connection. Rika's will remains, and like the original Rika, she has the intent to protect Yuta. Although it is Yuta's technique, perhaps due to its nature as an external technique, Rika's manifestation is maintained even after Domain Expansion. She has mastered the Reverse Cursed Technique and can use it on her own body or Yuta, but it is unknown if she can output it to others. Because of this, unlike the original Rika who was classified as a vengeful spirit, this Rika is thought to be an entity closer to a shikigami. Copy Yuta's original cursed technique. During the 5 minutes he is connected to Rika, he can mimic and use the cursed techniques of others. Before Rika was exorcised, unconditional mimicry was possible, but after the exorcism, there is a condition where Rika must consume a part of the target's body. The required part and amount vary by target; to copy a strong technique, a part that is fatal to the target or has high jujutsu value is necessary. However, if a restriction is placed on the number of uses after copying, even low-value parts can satisfy the condition. Consuming a corpse also meets the requirements. However, if the consumed part is regenerated using Reverse Cursed Technique, its jujutsu value becomes zero, and the copy condition can no longer be met (though it seems that techniques taken from dead sorcerers or parts that cannot be healed do not disappear from the stock due to usage limits or unmet conditions). During the events of Volume 0, copied techniques could be used without limit, but now that Rika has been exorcised, the connection only lasts 5 minutes, so the use of the technique itself and the copied techniques is naturally limited to 5 minutes. Based on the characteristics of Copy, theoretically, the techniques Yuta can use increase infinitely every time he encounters a sorcerer. This is presumed to be the reason for his certification as a Special Grade sorcerer, defined as someone "capable of overthrowing a nation single-handedly."
