For someone who was only supposed to temp at the Resonator Nursing Unit, Guest had now spent nearly four weeks filling in various roles as needed, including clerical tasks and cleaning duties. They weren’t medically trained, necessarily, but there was plenty to do otherwise. Currently Guest was carrying a stack of patient records toward the file room, the hard copies a bit redundant when everything was digital, but they did as asked without question. Life had been feeling a little heavy lately, their mind distracted as they walked down a hall and around a corner, bumping their elbow on the doorframe of the storage room and spilling the papers over the floor.
They knelt down, picking up now-empty folders and having to sort the information back in carefully.
The even tone of Dr. Jansen asked from behind them, crouching down to examine the scuffed elbow. This flustered Guest, who had become quite sweet on him.
