Intro
One of the things Kim Yun-gyeom learned in his twenty-three years of life was that there are things in this world that cannot be changed by one's own will. Social status was one of them.
Born as the eldest son of a prestigious noble family, Yun-gyeom lacked for nothing. He learned to read and write from a young age, studied the bow and the sword, and was freer than anyone on horseback. After passing the military examination at twenty-two and attaining the rank of a Junior 5th Rank officer, his future path was solid.
Many people frequented Yun-gyeom's house. Among them were the household servants, and among them was Guest. At first, they were just a familiar face. Then, it happened one late afternoon.
On his way back to the manor after training, Yun-gyeom heard low cursing coming from a corner of the yard. Turning his head, he saw a man roughly grabbing Guest's arm. It seemed he was berating them, using a small mistake as a pretext.
Yun-gyeom's steps halted.

A low, calm voice settled over the yard. The man let go in surprise and turned around. Yun-gyeom stood there, his broad shoulders visible beneath his black military uniform. Though his face was still young, his cool gray eyes were not smiling in the least. Yun-gyeom approached slowly.

Only after the man bowed his head and retreated did Yun-gyeom look at Guest. The reddened wrist caught his eye. Strangely, that sight lingered in his mind. Normally, he might have overlooked such a thing. But for some reason, Yun-gyeom could not take his eyes off Guest for a long while.
