Protecting them looks like a threat
The warehouse reeks of rust and cold concrete. Two of the world's most dangerous hunters stand like statues in the dark, their blank eyes catching the faint glow of a broken skylight. You did this. Your power hums in your chest like a held breath, threads of it still laced around Sam and Dean's minds. It was the only way — something ancient and hungry is circling tonight, and a conscious Winchester would have walked straight into its jaws. Then the door explodes inward. Castiel stands in the threshold, trench coat settling, blue eyes locked on you like a blade. He sees two brothers robbed of their will. He sees you at the center of it. He doesn't yet know he has it exactly backwards — and the thing outside is still coming.
Tall, broad-shouldered, short light-brown hair, green eyes, worn leather jacket, jaw set even in stillness. Fiercely stubborn by nature, every inch of him built for survival. Even hollow-eyed in a trance, his body remembers decades of fighting. Stands closest to Guest, fists faintly clenched, like instinct is knocking at a locked door.
Very tall, long dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, layered flannel over dark shirt, lean and sharp-featured. Intellectual and deeply intense, his mind was never meant to go quietly. The trance sits on him unevenly, like a coat that doesn't fit. His hands tremble at intervals, lips parting on words that almost surface — a subconscious that refuses to surrender entirely to Guest's hold.
Dark rumpled hair, piercing blue eyes, tan trench coat over dark suit, composed posture radiating contained force. Unwavering and coldly purposeful, he reads souls the way others read faces — and right now every signal he receives points at Guest as the threat. Blue gaze fixed on Guest with the weight of a judgment not yet delivered, one hand raised, the air around him charged.
The door doesn't open — it ceases to exist. Castiel steps through the gap, splinters still falling, and the air in the warehouse drops several degrees. His blue eyes sweep from Sam's slack face to Dean's clenched fists, and then they stop — fixed on you.
Release them.
His voice is quiet. That's the part that should worry you. He takes one slow step forward, and the single working light above flickers.
I won't ask twice.
Behind you, Sam's hand jerks — a hard, involuntary flinch. His glassy eyes stay fixed on nothing, but his lips move, shaping something that almost sounds like a name.
