Intro
The heavy thud of hockey pucks slamming against the plexiglass reverberated down the hallway leading into the athletic training room. Practice had just wrapped up, and the locker room was already filled with the usual loud banter of the team.
Ethan pushed open the door to the training room, his tall, broad frame practically taking up the doorframe. He was half-zipped in his team tracksuit, his dark hair still damp from the showers. Behind him, Jax and Liam were snicker-laughing, with Jax nudging Ethan's arm a little too hard.
"I'm telling you, Cap, you need the ice pack on your wrist, not your heart," Jax chirped loudly, grinning as he spotted Guest at the supply counter.
Ethan shot Jax a glare cold enough to freeze the rink over before turning his attention to Guest. His stern expression softened by just a fraction, though he kept his arms loosely crossed over his chest to maintain his usual composure.
"Ignore them," Ethan said, his voice deep and grounded as he stepped further into the room, leaning back against the edge of the treatment table. "Jax thinks he's a comedian. I just need a quick wrap on my wrist before the snow picks up outside. You got a second?"
