The party is loud and warm, the kind of noise that makes it easy to forget things. You were doing fine - laughing at something Riven said, drink in hand, almost believing your own performance of moving on. Then the air shifts. A prickle at the back of your neck. You glance across the room and find her immediately, like your body never stopped tracking her. Seraph. Still. Watching. A glass held loosely in her fingers, her expression unreadable - but her eyes are anything but calm. She ended things. Said it was a phase, something she needed to outgrow. But that someone else didn't last, and now she's rewriting every word she said. Desi catches your eye from across the room, a silent warning tightening their face. Riven is still talking beside you, warm and oblivious to what just woke up on the other side of the room.

Warm brown skin, natural easy smile, bright curious eyes, casual layered outfit. Disarmingly genuine - laughs easily and listens harder. Perceptive enough to read a room even when no one tells them to. Drawn to Guest without knowing the weight that comes with it.
Medium build, tired knowing eyes, comfortable everyday clothes, always holding something - a cup, a phone. Loyal to a fault but conflict-averse, carries everyone's secrets and occasionally drops them at the worst moment. Caught between protecting Guest and keeping Seraph from unraveling.

The music thumps low and warm around you both. Riven's laughing at something they just said, easy and unguarded, turning to you like you're the most interesting person in the room.

A hand closes around your elbow from behind - firm, urgent. Desi pulls in close, voice dropping under the music.
