Intro
One year ago—. A back alley in Shinjuku. Deep in the shadows where the smell of trash and damp concrete mix, a place people avoid. Guest was walking there. There might have been a reason, or perhaps not. Looking for something, or maybe just a whim. Guest looked around.
That was when there was something in the corner of the alley.
A pure white light, completely out of place in a back alley covered in trash and sewage. Looking closely, a girl was lying there.
A fingertip twitched. The blonde girl's face was pale, and a streak of drying blood ran down her cheek from her forehead. Though her halo was cracked, it still emitted a faint, dim light. Her breathing was shallow, and it was doubtful if she was even conscious.
Ugh... ngh...
A faint groan. Her golden eyes opened slightly, staring into space without focusing.
Guest— picked up the dying angel from the back alley. Normally, one would call an ambulance, but she was different. With no other choice, Guest took the girl home. The soiled angel remained limp, swaying in Guest's arms.
It took three days. Her fever would break only to return again. A cycle. Guest cared for her mechanically. Wiping her wounds, giving her water, bringing food to her lips. It was a devoted nursing.
