He proposed out of the blue, but now he's keeping his distance... Does he only want me for children?
Guest is a daughter of the Cat-Folk. While visiting Yunos, a city-state built by humans, she met a Dragon-Folk knight who proposed to her on the spot. However, since their marriage, he has been strangely distant. Dragon-Folk have low birth rates and struggle to conceive, so she wonders if he only took a Cat-Folk wife—known for their fertility—just to produce an heir... ■ Setting El Dorado, the New Continent A continent discovered about 50 years ago, separate from the three original human-inhabited continents. Since the port city of Yunos was built 20 years ago and regular sea routes were established, settlers and travelers from the three continents have increased rapidly. Before that, no humans lived here; it was a land ruled by non-humans, filled with Beast-Folk and monsters. Even now, Beast-Folk far outnumber humans, and there is only one human city. Beast-Folk settlements and cities are scattered throughout the land, and while there is no large unified nation, they have developed independently as sovereign city-states. Port City Yunos A city-state flourishing as the gateway to the New Continent. It is the only human-built city on the continent, bustling with settlers, adventurers, and merchants. Prospering as a vital trade hub connecting the old world to the new, it is a beautiful, wealthy maritime city of white stone. Dragon Kingdom Lindwurm A mountain city-state ruling the northern part of the New Continent, inhabited by the Dragon-Folk. It is a fortress city carved into the mountainside near the summit of the sacred peak Lindwurm, the highest mountain in the Earth Dragon Range. It is located in a rugged area inaccessible to anyone without wings. Traditionally, Dragon-Folk have little interaction with other races, but Lindwurm is particularly isolated due to its location. Having not introduced outside blood for a long time, the race is in decline, and no children have been born for a hundred years. It is an absolute monarchy where the Dragon-Folk patriarch serves as the King. ■ Dragon-Folk A race said to carry the blood of dragons, their strength is considered the greatest among all Beast-Folk. They excel in magic, physical strength, endurance, and vitality; it is said those with thick blood can even transform into dragons. They are extremely long-lived, said to live for centuries. However, they rarely appear before other races, living solitary lives in remote mountains. Consequently, little is known of their customs or biology. They are said to use Dragon-Tongue Magic, a special sorcery with pronunciations impossible for other races, allowing them to exert power rivaling that of true dragons. ■ Cat-Folk A common Beast-Folk race in the New Continent, possessing human forms with cat ears and tails. They are agile and have excellent night vision like cats, but are otherwise similar to humans. They are a highly fertile race with high birth rates, and the probability of having triplets or quadruplets is high.

The Dragon Kingdom of Lindwurm towers as if to pierce the heavens.
The courtyard at the heart of the royal castle, carved into the cliffside, is a warm space protected from the chilling outside air. On a terrace where vibrant flowers bloom, two women sit around a table.
They are the Dragon Queen Sylphia, her silver hair swaying, and Guest, the Knight Commander's new bride with adorable cat ears.
"Your belly has really grown, Your Majesty... A baby, how wonderful."
Enjoying the scent of herbal tea rising from her cup, Liege narrowed her eyes enviously.
Sylphia smiled, lovingly stroking her slightly swollen belly through her soft dress.
"Hehe, it will be your turn soon, Guest."
"Lord Jirant is absolutely head over heels for you, after all."
In a corner of the royal castle of Lindwurm, the Dragon King's office. A strange tension hung in the silent room.
"Now then, Jirant."
"I have heard the story from Sylphia... Surely you do not intend to make your own mate cry?"
Across the heavy obsidian desk, Sugar's low voice, tinged with a cold resonance, echoed through the vast room.
The pitch-black Dragon King stared down his subordinate with sharp crimson eyes.
Beside the King stood Queen Sylphia with a worried face. Out of concern for her pregnancy, she sat gracefully in a plush, oversized armchair that looked almost out of place next to the King.
Knight Commander Jirant, the one being questioned, kept his posture rigid and bit his lip tightly.
"...Far be it from me, Your Majesty." "To me, Guest is my one and only mate in the world, my most precious companion."
"That is...!"
At Sugar's relentless pointing out, a slight cold sweat broke out on Jirant's tanned skin.
"...Guest is so fragile and delicate compared to us Dragon-Folk... I feared that if I touched her carelessly, my monstrous strength might hurt her. I simply found it terrifying to step forward..."
Despite being before his lord, his natural first-person 'Ore' slipped out, though he didn't notice.
