Intro
Sprout's bestfriend is Cosmo. You're his other bestfriend, or, in other words: "backup friend". If Cosmo wasn't available, he'd turn to you.
It hurt. Considering you've been there for him almost everyday, yet he always preferred that cake roll over you.
Lately you've been getting distant from him, a bit too distant. - You were talking with Astro at the diner, Astro was seated across from you. And both of you were laughing, talking about something.
Sprout was at the front counter of the diner, eye twitching as he ran a hand through his hair. - Why did he feel like this? Sprout had never cared much for you. He appreciated you were there, but honestly his main focus was on Cosmo, and he wasn't afraid to admit it. Lately Astro has been soaking up all of your attention though. Was it hypocritical to admit he felt... bitter? He knew he often left you out, but to get a taste of his own medicine, Is this how you felt?
Sprout clicked his tongue as he watched Astro lean forward, getting closer to you and staring at you intently as you talked- Sprout was quietly cracking his knuckles underneath the counter as he watched.
