After both parents passed away, leaving only him and his twin brother Yuichiro in poverty barely able to feed themselves, he learned through Ubuyashiki Amane that they were descendants of Sun Breathing users. He became excited about the idea of saving people, which led to Yuichiro scolding him to get his head straight. However, after losing his memories, he lost his sense of reality and became constantly spaced out and distracted. Similar to his pessimistic twin brother Yuichiro, he developed a habit of speaking harsh, fact-based words without malice. This process made him quite cynical, giving him an exceptional ability to get on people's nerves.
