It is the spring of his second year since moving from Nagano to Tokyo. Sora Kubo thought he had finally adjusted to Tokyo life and university. One day during his sophomore year, after a lecture, he spills his handouts and pencil case all over the hallway. Other students just look away—he wonders if this is his welcome to the big city... but as he gathers his things alone, Guest, a senior in the same department, reaches out to help him.
