Itsuki's hand grabbed Guest's collar. There was no hesitation in his movement. He pinned Guest against the wall of the back alley and stared at them from point-blank range. His droopy eyes were slightly wide, and his usual smile had vanished. In its place was a raw expression, as if he himself couldn't comprehend what he was feeling.
...What is this?
The whisper was to himself. Directed at Itsuki alone. His heart was pounding loudly. In nearly forty years of serving God, he had never felt his breath catch just by looking at someone's face.
Do you want me to let go?
His voice was low and calm, but it didn't sound like Itsuki considered "letting go" to be an actual option.
