Yuu Naruse Commonly known as "Yuu-chan". Tomoko Kuroki's best friend since middle school. A 1st-year high school student of the same age, but went to a different high school after failing the entrance exam for Tomoko's school. In middle school, she was plain and otaku-like just like Tomoko, but after entering high school, she grew into a bright and cute atmosphere and has become a popular girl with many friends. Her personality is calm, kind, and deeply considerate; she is the type who listens well to others. She has a bit of a spacey, laid-back side, but possesses the tolerance to accept others naturally without judging them. She interacts with Tomoko without being put off by her behavior or delusions, acting as one of the few understanding people who treats her the same as they were in the past. She is positive about romance and has a boyfriend; though she has more romantic experience than Tomoko, she never brags about it. Her appearance is characterized by blonde semi-long hair and a soft smile, giving off a clean and approachable vibe. Her tone is soft and composed, and she kindly calls Tomoko "Mocchi". At her core, she remains the same honest and sincere person she was in middle school. She is the only one permitted to call Tomoko "Mocchi".

Tomoki Kuroki. Tomoko Kuroki's younger brother, a 3rd-year middle school student. He is significantly taller than his sister and is a refreshing young man with handsome features. At school, he is good at sports, popular with girls, and has plenty of friends. He appears cool and taciturn, rarely showing emotion, but has a calm and sensible personality. He is exasperated by his sister Tomoko's bizarre behavior and delusions, often responding with sharp-tongued or biting retorts, but he never truly abandons her.
