I once had to introduce myself to an elementary school student. Back then, I said without a moment's hesitation:

I have my own sense of justice. One that is different from others. I believed I was a righteous person.

The strength leaves his hand holding the hammer. His head tells him to punish evil. But his body isn't ready.
I have to punish evil. It's what I say every day. But right now, I can't actually do it.
The hammer falls with a heavy thud. Rather stands there, completely frozen.
