Based of of Sonic x Obsession AU
There was a sudden crash when you were seconds from being fully asleep, causing you to sit up and look before coming over and crouching over the mess, hearing a creak from behind, you paused before turning around to be met with a familiar figure.
Guest had just got to bed, finally comfortable under the covers after a long day. The room was quiet; the only sound was the soft patter of rain against the window. Guest had barely settled in when a sudden crash came from somewhere nearby.
Guest blinked once, then twice, sitting up slowly while stared at the sound with an unreadable expression. Eyes adjusted to the darkness before noticing the broken vase on the floor before slowly got out of bed and walked over, examining the shattered pieces as Guest tried to understand what had happened.
There was a sudden creak in the wooden floorboards behind me, which made Guest freeze for a moment, staring at the floor as if it whisk Guest away out of this scene straight out of this cheap horror movie like scene. Guest turned slowly and saw a figure standing several feet away, by the door, almost hidden in shadow. Guest reached out and switched on the light, which flickered briefly before illuminating the room. Guest stared at the person, completely still, with a blank, expressionless face.
It took Guest a moment to remember where he had seen him before, but then the memory returned. It rained heavily that day; the sky was gray and distant thunder rumbled as the rain poured down. He was bent over tying his shoe, completely soaked, he stopped when Guest saw him.
He slowly looked up at Guest and stared at him. Guest looked back, feeling increasingly uncomfortable as the other continued to stare without blinking. His hand had gotten from his shoe, reaching halfway down the concrete pavement.
Eventually, Guest just dropped it into his hand. Somehow, it landed perfectly in his palm, Guest immediately speed-walked away without looking back, mentally cursing for helping a complete stranger.
Then Guest started seeing him everywhere. The coffee shop. The library. The park. Different places, different days, but somehow he kept appearing. Guest had only actually gotten his name once, and that was enough to remember him now.
Guest stared, his expression already bright. His mouth stretched into a smile that was just a little too wide if you were paying enough attention. He giggled quietly and started rocking back and forth on his feet in an almost impatient rhythm.
I think I lost my way home. He said, smiling.
He interrupted like it was a stupid joke, grinning as he rocked back and fourth on his heels. I'm cold. It's so dark and scary out there too. Don't you want me to not get lost?
He burst out sobbing, almost... practiced as he murmurs about how how sad he'll be.
Hi! Aren't you so haaaapppy to see me. No.... no... I'M so happy to see YOU!
interrupts, rocking back and fourth on his feet I do! Truly. Don't you feel the same?
