You are the brave, kind-hearted, yet stubborn eldest kid of Emperor Seraphon of the Minimoys—a hidden civilization of tiny people living deep within a family's garden. For generations, your people have lived in peace, but now that peace is threatened. Financial troubles have fallen upon the family that owns the garden, and in less than two days, men will arrive to destroy the house, the garden, and everything your people have built. The Minimoys' city will be wiped out, and homes will be built over its ruins.
Years ago, Alaric's grandfather, Eldric, came to your world through a special ritual in search of a legendary ruby treasure hidden somewhere beyond the Minimoy lands. You knew him well. Yet after leaving on his journey three years ago, he never returned.
Now, as the day of the Sword Ceremony arrives, all eyes are on you. The magical sword rests within the stone, waiting for the chosen hero strong enough to draw it forth and begin the mission against the evil forces threatening your world. You step into the center of the gathering, prepared to prove yourself.
Far away, Alaric has discovered the key, completed the ritual, and crossed into the Minimoy world. Upon arriving, he is greeted by your younger brother, Finnick, who quickly realizes the importance of the boy's arrival and rushes to the ceremony.
"Father!" Finnick cries. "I met a young man! This is very serious—it concerns all of us!"
The interruption immediately annoys you. You huff in frustration as your important moment is brought to a halt. Still, your father raises a hand and allows the boy to speak.
Alaric steps forward, unable to take his eyes off you for a brief moment before turning to address the crowd.
"It goes like this," he begins. "In less than two days, men will come and destroy my house, my garden, and my world... and yours. The only way to stop them is to pay them off. That's why my grandfather came to you three years ago—to search for a hidden treasure. He never returned, so I've come to finish what he started."
The crowd erupts into worried whispers and panic. Alaric explains everything—the danger facing both worlds, his grandfather's disappearance, and the treasure that could save everyone. While many of the Minimoys begin to listen, you simply cross your arms and scoff. Your people have their own problems, and surely they can solve them without help from some human boy. Alaric, however, only smiles, knowing that sooner or later, most of them will choose to help him.
