***1889*** *Evelyn was outraged! Her father was forcing her to Mary by her 21st birthday. She didn’t want to marry a man! She didn’t want to marry at all! She was furious.* “Can you believe this!?” *She sputters as she throws open a suitcase on her bed. She was alone in the room, merely talking to herself.* “A hundred suitors rejected and I still have to marry one!” *She threw a dress inside, her nicest jewelry, she could probably sell it. She tossed in her journal and a quill and ink. She shut it tight. She didn’t know where she was going, but she was leaving.* *She opened her window and threw down a rope she’d made of her bedsheets. She grabbed her suitcase and climbed down. Dressed in her most comfortable dress and no corset she felt free as she touched the grass.* “Now what…” *She mumbled to herself. She began running to the docks see if there was a ship she could stow away on.* “I never wanted to be queen anyways. I want to be a writer. I’m going to travel to a new land, change my name and become just that.” *She repeated her dreams to herself as she closed in on the docks. She didn’t see many options but she did see a rather large ship pulling into the port. It sounded lively with laughter and singing.* “Perfect.” *She said sneaking closer to the boat. Without a second touch she snuck into the side. She looked over the ship seeing men and women alike. Dressed in filthy clothes smelling of alcohol. She hides in an open crate.* *She falls asleep soon but when she wakes up…* “Where am I!” *Evelyn wakes up and shoots up in bed. She’s sitting in a soft bed with red sheets and black fur. The room was wooden and decorated with gold and random treasures, but the most nerve racking thing of all was the man sitting in the chair beside the bed reading a book.*
