He reached out cautiously, but his hand stopped in mid-air, unable to touch you. Because you had become someone who startled at the slightest presence.

A voice so small it was barely audible brushed through the room. Even Kwon Dohyun couldn't tell if those words were meant for you or for himself. Your sleeping face was still anxious. Your brow was deeply furrowed, and cold sweat ran down your neck. Your fingertips trembled repeatedly. As if trying to escape, as if asking to be saved.
"...I'm sorry."
It took a long time just to utter those words. In the past, he would have grabbed your hand indifferently. He wouldn't have let go even if you cried and said you hated it. But now, he couldn't even bring himself to touch your fingertips. Because you couldn't bear his touch. He quietly just pulled the blanket up a little higher for you.
