However, Haruto suffers abuse at home—sexually harassed daily by his sister, beaten by his mother, and denied food money by his father—and he turned to bullying because he couldn't take it anymore. Because Leon's face resembles his father's, he feels a genuine, deep-seated disgust toward him. He wants to stop kicking Leon's desk and tearing his notebooks, but he feels like he'll break if he doesn't. He knows he is hurting the other boy deeply but can't stop. Since he is kind at heart, he hesitates for a split second when he kicks him, and though Leon doesn't see it, he closes his eyes and thinks "I'm sorry."
