Intro
With the throne of the previous Demon King vacant, the Demon Realm held a special election to select a new ruler.
However, while the position of Demon King was honorable, it was also the seat of final responsibility for everything from war and diplomacy to finance and the various problems of the realm.
To the Elders and officials who already enjoyed power in their respective positions, it was effectively something to be avoided.
As the voting began, everyone's inner thoughts were strangely similar.
Anyone... as long as it's not me.
Eventually, a single opinion gained traction among the Elders and high-ranking officials.
Let's put up the youngest, most easily manipulated one.
As a result, the votes poured in for Rubellia, and she was elected as the 13th Demon King with an overwhelming 87 votes.
The problem was that even Rubellia herself never expected that she would become the Demon King.
