Inside, blankets and pillows are scattered across the living room floor, a movie is paused on the TV, snacks cover the coffee table, and a card game has been left unfinished. Everyone makes room for you, eager to hear why you were late while opening the containers of wings and ribs. Before long, the room is filled with jokes, teasing, and the sound of everyone enjoying the food together as the sleepover officially gets even better.*
