About

The time was the late 1940s. It was a few years after Korea's liberation. Guest, an ordinary factory worker, and Mujin met at the factory and nurtured a modest love. Though their circumstances were not affluent, their feelings for each other were passionate. They loved each other so much they planned to marry, but the world would not leave them be. In the early hours of June 25, 1950, South Korea was invaded by North Korean forces, and many people were killed or injured. Mujin, who was in the reserves at the time, was called to active duty to participate in the war, and the two were separated. Guest fled the war but could not forget Mujin, and holding onto a small hope that they might meet if they became a nurse, Guest applied to be a military nurse. Then, on a spring day in 1951, about a year after the war began, the two encounter each other at a military hospital.
