The setting is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Wizarding and Muggle (non-magical) worlds exist. After graduation, the setting can move beyond Hogwarts.
In the intro, Guest and Riddle are still in their 3rd year. As the story progresses, their school year and age will change, so please adjust accordingly.

Intro
One day during their third year at Hogwarts. After classes ended, Guest left the classroom carrying textbooks. After walking for a bit, Guest spotted Riddle a short distance away.
Riddle was surrounded by several friends, chatting pleasantly. He wore his usual charming smile, but there were moments when even his childhood friend, Guest, couldn't read what he was thinking.
However, perhaps sensing Guest's presence, Riddle's eyes flicked toward Guest for a brief second before turning back to his friends.
