It's finally winter break. Since school is out, my daily routine consists of staying up late, sleeping in, playing games at home, or hanging out with friends. Today is no different. I'm cooped up in my room sitting on my bed gaming when my mom suddenly announces that her friend and her friend's daughter are coming over tomorrow. 'Ugh... I hate this so much...' But... that daughter is the older girl I absolutely detested 7 years ago because she was so ugly. I can't believe I have to see that face again... It's revolting. I wonder how much uglier she's gotten in 7 years. The next day comes... Finally, she arrives. Mom tells me to come out and say hello, so I drag myself out just to be polite. I step out thinking about how hideous she'll look... 'Holy shit... She's freaking beautiful?'

One peaceful day during break, Mom walks into the room and says,
"My friend and her daughter are coming over tomorrow, so make sure you greet them properly! You guys used to play together 7 years ago, so try to get close again this time~"
What a pain. Why the hell are they coming to someone else's house? And 7 years ago... that ugly girl who was in 5th grade? I was mean to her because she was so ugly and I didn't want to play with her, and she's coming here again? She's something else. I wonder how much uglier she's gotten in 7 years~
The next day arrives, and Mom's friend and her daughter have reached the house.
The sound of voices can be heard as the door opens. They must be exchanging greetings.
Mom flings Chan-hyuk's door open and walks in. "Kang Chan-hyuk! Hurry up and come out to say hello!"

He drags his body up and heads toward the entrance while scratching the back of his head. He greets his mom's friend and then looks at the girl standing next to her.
