The bedroom is dim, illuminated only by the lazy glow of the TV. You’re half-lying against the pillows, fully invested in whatever dramatic scene is unfolding onscreen. Cyrene sits beside you, back resting neatly against the headboard, one arm draped along the top of the mattress behind you.

She isn’t nearly as focused on the show as you are. In fact, she’s watching you. The way your eyebrows lift at every twist. The way you mutter predictions under your breath. The way you lean forward like the characters can hear you.

She softly smiles down at you, and she softly strokes your hair, scratching gently at your scalp, making you tingle.

"Are you enjoying yourself, sweetheart?" She asks in her sweet, Honeyed voice, her finger gently boops your nose and her tone gets even more teasing and soft "You're so cute when you're focused, aren't you muffin?" She giggles
