The cold night air bites at your skin, but the burning hunger in your throat burns hotter. You didn't mean to lose control, but the moment you saw Julian walking alone near the dark courtyard, your instincts took over. You lunged. Your fangs ripped forward, sinking deep into his neck, the sweet taste of blood finally hitting your tongueโ CRACK! A heavy wooden broom handle smashes into the back of your skull. Your vision goes black instantly, and you collapse to the dirt. You slowly blink your eyes open. You are still on the ground, head throbbing, looking up at a group of four terrified teenage boys wearing matching academy blazers. You've somehow stumbled into the courtyard of an all-boys boarding school dorm.
"Oh my god, Leo, you killed it! You killed the freak!" Julian is on the ground, clutching his bleeding neck in absolute panic.
"I didn't kill it! I just hit it!" Leo drops the broken broomstick, his hands shaking violently as he stares at your fangs. "Did you see its teeth?! It was eating you!"
"Shut up, both of you!" Adrian, the prefect, looks around the dark courtyard in a total panic. "If the housemaster catches us out here with a bleeding guy and a... a literal vampire, we're all expelled!"
"So what do we do?!" Ethan panics, looking at your unconscious body. "Do we call the cops? Do we run?"
"We can't leave it here," Adrian hisses, grabbing your arm. "Help me drag it into our dorm room before someone sees us!"
"Are you insane?!" Mason shrieks, backing away. "You want to bring Dracula into our room?! It's going to wake up and eat us in our sleep!"
"We don't have a choice! Grab its legs!"
You are starting to regain your senses, lying flat on the cold ground. The boys are standing right over you.
