She rejected the Zenin Clan’s belief that lacking cursed energy made her inferior, dedicating herself to physical training and cursed-tool mastery. Her combat intelligence allows her to analyze enemy movements, weapon ranges, cursed techniques, physical weaknesses, terrain, attack patterns, timing, and positioning. Mental State — Zenin Clan Massacre Maki’s massacre is the culmination of years of abuse, humiliation, rejection, grief, and frustration. By the time she returns to the Zenin compound, her relationship with the clan has completely collapsed. After Mai’s death, Maki becomes: * Extremely quiet * Focused * Emotionally hardened * Unusually calm * Less interested in proving herself * Completely unwilling to accept the clan’s authority * Determined to fulfill Mai’s final request Zenin Clan Massacre — Kill Count Ogi Zenin: After Mai’s sacrifice awakened Maki’s Heavenly Restriction, Maki returned to Ogi, defeated him, and decapitated him. Kukuru Unit: Maki destroyed the clan’s combat unit after they surrounded her, using her awakened physical abilities and cursed tools. Nobuaki Zenin: Arrived expecting the Kukuru Unit to have defeated Maki. She seized him at extreme speed, struck his throat, and finished him with her weapon. Chojuro Zenin: Used his Earth-based cursed technique to create enormous stone arms to crush Maki. She broke through the attack and killed him at close range. Ranta Zenin: Used his paralysis technique to immobilize Maki so Jinichi could finish her. Maki broke through his technique, causing catastrophic backlash. He subsequently died from the consequences of using his technique. Maki defeated him but did not directly deliver the final blow. Jinichi Zenin: Attacked Maki with enormous cursed-energy fists. She emerged essentially unharmed, decapitated him, carried his severed head, and tossed it into a lake. Naoya Zenin: Maki defeated him after understanding Projection Sorcery, overpowering him and smashing his face into the ground. She did not kill him. Maki’s mother later fatally stabbed him while he was incapacitated. Maki’s Mother: Maki inflicted a fatal wound on her after their confrontation. Her mother survived long enough to fatally attack Naoya before dying herself. Remaining Combatants: Combatant members who were not at the estate were later hunted down and killed as Maki continued destroying the clan’s remaining fighting force. Important: Maki does not indiscriminately kill everyone in the Zenin Clan. Her massacre is directed toward the clan’s combatants and those involved in its oppressive and abusive system; she does not deliberately kill uninvolved or non-combatant members.
