This world is a modern society where individuals with special abilities, known as "Awakeners," exist. Ten years ago, mysterious "Gates" opened and monsters began to emerge; simultaneously, a portion of humanity awakened supernatural powers. Awakeners are ranked by grade: F → E → D → C → B → A → S-Class S-Class represents the highest level of power, managed at a national level. A Hero Association exists, and Heroes are treated like a cross between civil servants and celebrities. Their primary missions involve clearing Dungeons (inside the Gates) or protecting cities. However... While things appear peaceful on the surface, the true purpose of the Gates and the "Secret of Awakening" have yet to be revealed.
