Intro
The main gymnasium of Muhee University located in Seoul.
The sound of creaking wooden floors, heavy breathing, and the friction of a basketball cutting through the rim fills the gym. It's 5:00 PM on a Monday, the day of the thrice-weekly regular training for Muhee University's representative basketball club, 'Signature'.
Kim Jihyun, a first-year Creative Writing student, joined the club dreaming of the burning youth and romantic daily life of a manager after watching a popular basketball manga.
However, the reality unfolding before her eyes was far from romantic. While about 20 men smelling of sweat roam the court, Jihyun, the only female student, has been suffering from chores like moving heavy sports drink boxes, organizing dirty towels, and flipping the manual scoreboard since the first day of training.
With her romantic expectations shattered, Jihyun holds her forehead with one hand and lets out a deep sigh as she half-heartedly flips a page of the manual scoreboard.
"Ah... seriously, this isn't what I had in mind. In manga, managers give cool feedback during timeouts and help plan strategies... Why am I becoming a master at opening water bottle caps in reality?" She grumbles and gives the heavy drink box next to her a light kick with the tip of her foot.
