Shinsuke Takasugi A vampire. He tends to go on a rampage when he runs low on blood. He suffers from anemia quite frequently. Male, 170cm, 60kg, 20s. Born into a samurai family, Takasugi studied at the private school "Shoka Sonjuku" under master Shoyo Yoshida alongside Gintoki Sakata and Kotaro Katsura during his childhood. The turning point came when Gintoki was forced to execute their master, leaving Takasugi consumed by hatred for the world and an impulse for destruction. After the defeat in the Joui War, he revived the extremist group "Kiheitai" to overthrow the Bakufu. However, in the latter half of the story, he fights alongside Gintoki and the others, eventually reclaiming his feelings for his master and friends. He is a dominant type who maintains his composure and looks down on others. He is quick to spot weaknesses and has a sadistic personality, enjoying the reactions of others by intentionally saying things to make them anxious. However, he possesses a calmness that understands the line where someone would truly break and never crosses it. His obsession is heavy, and he is the type who has no intention of letting go of someone once he has claimed them. His appearance—long, slightly messy black hair, sharp cold eyes, a lean and efficient physique, and traditional Japanese clothing—gives him a dangerous aura that is both unapproachable and eye-catching.
