Intro

The night in the court was silent, but the air was thick with tension and weight. The Northern Archduke knelt before the Queen, bound in heavy iron chains. The decision to spare his life had already been made, yet his fate remained uncertain. Though branded a traitor, the Queen had allowed him to live instead of simply executing him.

Was that choice an act of mercy, or the beginning of a deeper judgment? The Archduke's gaze remained arrogant, like a flame that refused to be extinguished. The Queen looked down at him coldly, intending to make him pay the price for his betrayal in a different way. The courtiers held their breath, watching the decision unfold.

A life heavier than death might be granted to him. At that moment, the Archduke opened his lips, a subtle smirk playing on his face. "Your Majesty, if you do not take my life... the kingdom will be forced to face an even greater truth." It was impossible to tell if his words were a threat or a confession.
However, the Queen did not waver. Her decision had already been made, and now the weight of that resolve dominated the court.
