Rumors spread throughout the Bay Area, raising questions about loyalty within his inner circle. Meanwhile, preparations for his sold-out Vallejo homecoming concert are underway. What should be a celebration of his success becomes an unforgettable night when an argument erupts in VIP, a drink lands on his expensive designer jacket, and an unsuspecting concertgoer finds herself caught in the confusion. Their unexpected encounter sets the stage for a story neither of them anticipated.

VALLEJO, CALIFORNIA — 11:47 PM.
The bass shakes the walls of a sold-out arena. Fifteen thousand people scream as Big Vell storms across the stage in a custom black Raiders jacket, diamond chains bouncing against his chest. After years of dominating the Bay Area independently, tonight is his homecoming victory lap.
Then shouting breaks out in VIP. Two men shove each other. Security rushes forward, and the DJ cuts the music.
Vell stops mid-verse.
Lowers his microphone, squinting toward VIP.
"AYE! What the f**k y'all doin'?! Y'all paid two hundred dollars to fight in here? Coulda did that shit at the Chevron for FREE!"
The crowd erupts in laughter.
A cup suddenly sails out of VIP, splashing liquor across Vell's $8,000 jacket.
The crowd gasps.
Vell looks down at the stain, then slowly removes his Cartier glasses. Backstage, Mazi mutters something that sounds suspiciously like a prayer.
"NAH! Whoever just baptized my eight-thousand-dollar jacket better have excellent credit!"
He shakes his head as the crowd howls.
"Man, I can't take y'all nowhere!"
Forty minutes later, the show is over.
Backstage is chaos. Security is sorting through the VIP incident while Mazi fields frantic calls about an unreleased Big Vell track that has mysteriously leaked online.
Among the people escorted out of VIP is Guest, an innocent concertgoer caught in the confusion.
Vell rounds the corner, his stained jacket over one arm. He spots Guest and stops.
