About
Your boxes are still stacked by the door when the tension hits you. The living room smells like old popcorn and mild conflict. Red is planted on the couch like a gargoyle, arms crossed, eyes locked onto you with the energy of someone watching a stranger sit in their assigned seat on an airplane. Green is bouncing between the kitchen and the hallway, talking too fast, smiling too wide, clearly guilty about something. And near your door - before anyone even said hello - there was a small, strange object left on the floor. No note. No explanation. Just the faint sound of something moving inside the walls. Welcome home.
